new for 2006 season....we have taken delivery of our new REDBAY
8.4m Stormforce cabin RIB. Powered by 275hp inboard Diesel, fully
kitted out with all Garmin electronic products, suspension seats
for all crew, drop down LCD screens for theory afloat. Whether in
summer riding the waves with the top down, or having complete shelter
from the elements in winter, our versatile RIB is at the leading
edge of powerboating. Our fully kitted out classroom afloat ensures
all course time is spent aboard and not ashore in a classroom.
Equipment aboard includes: colour chart plotter,
Fixed DSC VHF radio, handheld VHF, Flares, First Aid kit, EPIRB,SOS
Grab Bag, Four suspension seats for your comfort (no bouncing around
sitting on tubes!!)

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the basic
boat handling and seamanship skills necessary to safely and effectively
use and open powerboat. 
By the end of this two day course the successful
participant will be capable of helming without supervision in good
conditions and familiar waters. They will also be safety conscious
and have a basic Knowledge of boat preparation and handling both
ashore and afloat. 
The course starts on the Friday evening at
our shorebased training venue in Mahon where we cover the theory
and coastal aspects of the course. All day Saturday and Sunday are
spend afloat in and around Cork harbour practicing various skills
and maneouvres.
